Nigel is a composer, conductor, musical director, pianist and tenor. 

Nigel's compositional style is based on tonal and modal harmony, lyricism and a sense of beauty of sound, while at the same time using modern compositional devices.

Current projects include: The operas Don Stefano, and Gracchus and an oratorio, Defeats and Reversals of Byzantine Emperors, each with words by the Gloucestershire based poet Michael B. Drennan. Additionally, he is writing a chamber opera, Marlowe, with the Stirling-based writer Gayle Maclean.

Former projects have included work with organisations such as the Derby Playhouse Youth Theatre's production of Shakespeare's The Tempest.

Nigel is currently a student in the Master of Information Management at RMIT University.
