Robin Hood's Lament is a short opera about a great icon - Robin Hood. The only trouble is that in this opera things aren't going so well for the erstwhile hero. He is suffering because his wife, Marion, is having an affair with Little John. Meanwhile, Father Tuck, a Benedictine Hermit, who has taken to helping Robin's band of outlaws, is lusting after the young Will Scarlet, Robin's cousin. Robin begins taking Tuck's potions in order to block out the pain of Marion's continued unfaithfulness (Little John isn't her first), and starts seeing faerie creatures in his hallucinations.
